Um dia após se eleger a primeira mulher a liderar a Tailândia, Yingluck Shinawatra anunciou uma coalizão de governo que garantirá 299 assentos parlamentares entre os 500 disponíveis.
A irmã do ex-primeiro ministro deposto, Thaksin Shinawatra, disse que o novo governo trará 'reconciliação' ao país, que sofre há mais de cinco anos com consecutivas crises de instabilidade política.
Desde 2006, quando Thaksin foi deposto, a Tailândia tem enfrentado recorrentes conflitos entre a ala popular da sociedade, representada pelo movimento dos 'camisas vermelhas', e a elite de Bangcoc, os 'camisas amarelas'.
Em abril e maio de 2010, os 'camisas vermelhas', simpatizantes de Shinawatra, ocuparam áreas centrais da capital por diversas semanas até serem expulsos pelo Exército em um confronto sangrento que resultou em mais de 90 mortes.
A coalizão anunciada por Yingluck nesta segunda-feira contará com outras quatro agremiações além do partido dela, o PheuThai, que garantiu sozinho 265 assentos.
De acordo com o jornal The Nation, os partidos menores Chat ThaiPattana, Chat Pattana PhuaP andin, Palang Chon e Mahachon. Somados, contribuem com 34 assentos.

A day after being elected the first woman to lead Thailand, Yingluck Shinawatra announced a coalition government that will guarantee 299 seats among the 500 available.
The sister of the deposed former prime minister, Thaksin Shinawatra, said the new government will be "reconciliation" to the country, suffering more than five consecutive years with bouts of political instability.
Since 2006, when Thaksin was deposed, Thailand has faced recurring conflicts between the popular wing of society, represented by the movement of 'red shirts', and the elite of Bangkok, the "yellow shirts".
In April and May 2010, the 'red shirts', supporters of Thaksin, occupied central areas of the capital for several weeks until they were expelled by the army in a bloody confrontation that resulted in 90 deaths.
The coalition announced by Yingluck on Monday will feature four other associations in addition to her party, the PheuThai, which secured 265 seats alone.
