Single de Amy com lenda do jazz será lançado em breve

SÃO PAULO - Antes de morrer Amy Winehouse gravou um dueto com a lenda do jazz Tony Bennett. Agora, o single será lançado e todo valor arrecadado com as vendas será destinado para uma entidade beneficente criada pelo pai da cantora, segundo informou a porta-voz do músico na última quarta-feira (3).

O pop clássico “Body and Soul”, que foi gravado pela dupla em março, é um dos últimos trabalhos de Amy, que morreu no dia 23 de julho. A causa oficial da morte da cantora ainda não foi determinada.

Porém, como Amy travou uma longa batalha contra o álcool e as drogas, o pai da cantora, Mitch, resolveu criar uma fundação em nome da filha para ajudar viciados. E é para esta instituição que as arrecadações obtidas com a venda do single serão destinadas.

Ainda de acordo com a porta-voz de Bennett, Liz Rosenberg, a canção estará no CD dele, o "Duets II", que tem previsão de lançamento para o dia 20 de setembro.
